42 Cleveland Lane, our listing in Princeton’s Western Section, has made A-LIST news quite a bit these days: first with our recently featured Holiday Trunk Show, when designers from Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, West Elm, and Williams-Sonoma transformed the house for the day into a holiday gem, and then as part of our special feature “Spectacular Kitchens”. And now it’s making headlines again, and this time it’s Hollywood style, thanks to Princeton High School graduate CeCe King, the writer and co-star of the “The Broken Ones”, a feature film currently shooting at various Princeton landmarks including 42 Cleveland Lane.
As reported in the Town Topics, “The circular driveway fronting 42 Cleveland Lane was clogged with vans on the unseasonably warm Monday of this week. Between the columns of the 194-year-old house’s graceful front porch, young cast and crew members of The Broken Ones, a movie being filmed at several locations in town, were carting in equipment as they prepared to shoot a scene.”
Cece King, the daughter of Princeton interior designer Judy King, described the film to Town Topics as “a 24-hour love story… a coming of age drama, kind of like Blue Velvet meets Garden State.” Ms. King’s co-stars include Charlie Bewley, of Nashville fame, and Constance Shulman, of Orange is the New Black.
Congratulations to Cece King, and the entire cast and crew of “The Broken Ones”, from all of us here at Callaway Henderson Sotheby’s International Realty. We wish you all a successful journey for the film and we’ll stay tuned!
